Yellow Bird Therapy
Oregon-based Teletherapy

About Yellow Bird Therapy
I work with adults who are navigating trauma, burnout, masking, anxiety, and identity exploration. I provide trauma-informed, LGBTQ+, and neurodiversity-affirming care tailored to help you move out of survival and toward healing. Our work together is collaborative and holistic, integrating person-centered care and specialized tools to support your needs.I have been practicing as a therapist in Oregon since 2021. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can be yourself, even when you're still figuring out what that means. My approach is compassionate, curious, and relational. I value the relationship we build in therapy and I want you to feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and bringing the complicated, messy, very human parts of yourself into the room.

How We Might Work Together
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Our work together will be guided by your needs, goals, and experiences.EMDR: To help your brain naturally process and unstick painful memories so they stop running your present life.Parts Work (IFS and Somatic-Informed): To gently explore and heal conflicting, anxious, or self-critical voices.Attunement & Presence: Creating a compassionate, grounded environment for you to feel seen and heard.Strengths-Based Therapy: Uncovering the resilience and internal wisdom you already carry.Gender-Affirming Assessments & Letters: Offering a streamlined, respectful, and supportive process to help you access needed care without unnecessary barriers.
Fees and Insurance
Yellow Bird Therapy is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement for a portion of your sessions.
I can provide monthly superbills for you to submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement varies by plan, deductible, and other coverage details, so I recommend checking with your insurer before beginning therapy. Why Choose Private Pay?Privacy: When you pay privately and do not submit claims to insurance, a mental health diagnosis does not need to be submitted to an insurance company for reimbursement.
Flexibility: Your treatment plan is developed collaboratively, based on your needs and goals, rather than being determined by insurance coverage requirements.
Consistency: Your treatment is not dependent on insurance authorization or coverage decisions. You can make decisions about the frequency and duration of therapy together, based on your needs and preferences. If private pay doesn't fit your current budget, I'm happy to provide referrals to trusted colleagues who accept insurance.
